Kartogroup Espa\u00f1a,<\/b> the Burriana-based plant dedicated to tissue paper manufacturing, continues to grow and, according to its latest financial statements, in 2024 it tripled its profits, reaching \u20ac7 million,<\/b> and closed the year with a turnover of \u20ac114 million.<\/b> The company, part of the Cominter<\/b> group (headquartered in Hospitalet de Llobregat), employs 217 people<\/b> and has managed to increase its industrial margins thanks to \u201cimproved profitability in its products,\u201d according to its financial report. In this context, the firm plans to invest \u20ac4 million in 2026<\/b> in Burriana, in the redevelopment of the industrial park housing the paper mill and in the installation of a palletizing robot.<\/b><\/p>\n

The report highlights that the operating profit reached 10.6% of sales,<\/b> up from 9.14% in 2023, while profits increased from \u20ac2.2 million in 2023 to \u20ac7.2 million in 2024.<\/b> The company emphasizes its stability in margins and industrial costs, achieving a turnover similar to 2023, with a total figure of \u20ac114.6 million.<\/b> Revenue fell by 13%<\/b> due to price reductions, but operating profit rose to \u20ac12 million,<\/b> exceeding the previous year\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n

It also notes that the company maintained the full confidence of its clients<\/b> in the large retail market, while in the industrial tissue<\/b> segment it experienced a favorable evolution in both sales and activity compared to 2023.<\/p>\n

Jordi Canals,<\/b> CEO of Kartogroup and Cominter, points out that the improvement in industrial margins \u201cis due to the reduction in electricity and gas costs, and the drop in raw material prices at the end of 2023 and during the first quarter of 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u20ac20 million invested over the past five years<\/b><\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

Regarding 2025,<\/b> the CEO states that they expect growth in the industrial \u201cAway From Home\u201d channel with the addition of new clients, while in large retail they aim to consolidate existing buyers with new product lines. The main markets include Spain, France, the United Kingdom, and Portugal.<\/b><\/p>\n

Following this growth path, Kartogroup will continue with its investment plan.<\/b> Over the past five years, it has allocated \u20ac20 million<\/b> to energy efficiency projects, launching machinery that reduces energy consumption and installing photovoltaic panels, according to Jordi Canals.<\/b><\/p>\n

In 2026,<\/b> the company will focus mainly on the redevelopment of the Burriana industrial area<\/b> where it is located, with the aim of equipping the zone with all the basic services needed for its operations and adapting the site to the current General Urban Development Plan.<\/b> This project was first requested in 2018 and, after several administrative procedures and processes, is now entering its final phase. It covers an area of 36,086 m\u00b2<\/b> within one of Burriana\u2019s oldest industrial estates, popularly known as the Cam\u00ed Fondo\u2013Cam\u00ed Xamussa industrial park.<\/b><\/p>\n
